Texas Bay Area Credit Union was established on May 12, 1936, as the Houston Sinclair Refinery Employees Federal Credit Union. Our facility, then a small office of the Sinclair Refinery, opened with total deposits totaling $60.00, from 12 employees. Each charter member contributed $5.00, which began the legacy of Texas Bay Area Credit Union.

Come Grow With Us

Since that time, the credit union has grown to serve over 26,000 members, with total deposits exceeding $165 million dollars. We have since moved from the small office building in the Sinclair Refinery to our main office, located at 1301 Highway 225 in Pasadena, Texas. In addition to two branch locations in the North Channel and Pasadena areas. Our field of membership has diversified to include oil, chemical, energy and engineering companies. We currently serve the employees and families of over 100 member companies in the Texas Bay Area. Texas Bay Are Credit Union's field of membership to include all persons living and/or working within the cities of Pasadena, Deer Park, LaPorte and the North Channel Area, or a ten mile radius of any of our branch offices.

There have been numerous products and services added within the past few years. We continually strive to stay on the leading edge of financial products and services, thus providing our members with the most efficient financial assistance.
