 MasterCard/VISA Debit Card Conversion
IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING YOUR TBACU ACCOUNT!
We continually strive to offer our members the most cost-efficient financial products and services. We would like to make you aware of several changes to your existing ATM Card and/or Visa Debit Card with Texas Bay Area Credit Union.
EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY, WE WILL
NO LONGER OFFER OR ISSUE ATM CARDS.
How will this affect you?
Current ATM cardholders will be issued a new MasterCard Debit Card for
his/her account/s. There will be no changes to your account. You will continue to have access to your funds as before when your ATM card was in use. In addition,
if you currently have an ATM AND Visa Debit Card, you will receive only ONE MasterCard Debit Card.
ALL ATM CARD AGREEMENTS WILL BE
CLOSED ON APRIL 2nd, 2008. Effective April 2nd, 2008, we will begin converting all current VISA Debit Card Cardholders
to the MasterCard Debit Card. If you would like to change your ATM Card to the new MasterCard Debit Card, please CLICK HERE to complete the form and mail or return it to any credit union location for processing.
Why are we making this change?
• The MasterCard Debit Card is part of the STAR Network, which allows access to 1.9 million ATM and retail locations.
• The MasterCard Debit Card is accepted worldwide at millions of locations.
• Use MasterCard Global Service for any card-related needs.
• Zero liability protection from unauthorized purchases.
What does this mean for you?
Current VISA Debit Card cardholders will be issued a new MasterCard Debit Card for his/her account/s. There will be no changes to your account. You will continue to have access to your funds and Member Miles points. If you currently have a TBACU Visa Debit Card for your account, you can continue to use that card. You will automatically receive a new MasterCard Debit Card in the mail.
PLEASE NOTE: If you have any automatic debits (i.e., subscriptions, internet charges, tollway charges, etc.) on your existing VISA Debit Card,you will need to contact the merchants and provide your new MasterCard Debit Card number and expiration date.
